Brazil will require tourist visa for citizens of Australia, Canada, the United States and Japan

The new Brazilian Government has decided to chancge the requirement of visiting visas for citizens of Australia, Canada, the United States and Japan. The decision was taken after consulting these four countries on the possibility of granting visa exemptions to Brazilian nationals, in compliance with the principle of reciprocity.

The change will take place on October 1st, 2023.

Note: The required tourist visa was extended. Therefore, the visa will only be required for entries from April 10, 2025.
